Mornings Filled With Quiet Observation

My day often begins in the garden. The morning air is cool, the leaves still hold dew, and the garden feels peaceful. I walk through each section, noticing new shoots, checking the soil, and simply observing. This daily check helps me catch issues early, but it also grounds me before the rush of the day begins.

Watering, Pruning, and Gentle Care

Depending on the season, I adjust my watering. In summer, I water early to avoid evaporation. In winter, I water less often. I prune whenever needed – a small snip here or a branch removed there. Pruning has become almost meditative for me, a quiet routine that keeps the garden healthy and gives me clarity.

Afternoons of Rest and Growth

By afternoon, the garden settles into a slower rhythm. Some plants droop slightly under the sun but recover by evening. I rarely water at this time – I've learned the roots can get stressed. Instead, I simply watch the play of sunlight and shadow across the plants.

Evenings: My Favourite Time

In the evening, I harvest what’s ready – leafy greens, chillies, tomatoes. The light turns warm and makes everything look golden. Sometimes I take videos, sometimes I sit under the mango tree, and sometimes I do nothing at all. The garden becomes a space of reflection, calmness, and gratitude.

A Routine That Became a Way of Life

Gardening has taught me more about myself than I expected. It brought discipline, joy, and stillness into my daily routine. A day in my garden isn’t just about plants – it’s about slowing down and reconnecting with the small details that make life meaningful.
